Family Matters Most

Well we are in our fist week of the new year andI must say I wasn't ready to swallow the fact that this year Ethan will be turning FOUR and McKenna will be turning TWO! I don't think I will be get used to that idea anytime soon..In the meanwhile, I am updating my NEW YEAR.

We brought our New Years in with Andy's grandparents, parents, an Aunt and Uncle, cousins, and their exchange students by playing games, eating food, and laughing a ton! We played the classic Davis family game of forehead.

A special moment was captured when Uncle Tim read Ethan a bedtime story. You can tell Ethan really enjoyed it. He even talked Aunt Robin into reading him one as well, but I was unable to capture a picture of it.
With a new year comes resolutions. I have many. Probably because I am the type of person to easily reflect on my life and enjoy setting goals for myself. It's how I change, grow, mature, and blossom into the woman God has created me to be. Here is the list of my resolutions:

*Putting God first in everything I do, growing into the woman He created me to be, and growing in my walk with Him.
*Weight Loss & Exercise Goal. To get fit again, tone up my body, and lose a few extra pounds hanging around. (It's the typical New Year's resolution. But it's kind of an all year resolution for me)
*Becoming more financially wise and seeking God for self control, frugal-ness, contentment, wisdom, and guidance.
*To overcome emotional challenges I faced last year. To continue to learn from mistakes and see the changes as God works on healing me.

As I reflect on 2010, it was good year. I created some fabulous memories and challenged myself to change and to go outside my comfort zone. I didn't always like who I was being along the way but I had a breakthrough and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks be to God for his grace and healing in my life.

My kids keep my heart smiling and always bring warmth to my life. Recently Ethan was "Buzz Lightyear" on his rocking horse, and Kenna was the ultimate mommy pushing her baby in the stroller and talking on "her" so called cell phone. We had a movie night with the kids, made our own popcorn (which they loved), and spent quality family time. Family Matters Most.

Bring on 2011, we are ready for some exciting fun!
